The Computing Convergence

We are seeing a convergence of Open Source, Cloud Computing, Semantic Web and Social Computing which has the potential to significantly alter our lives and take it to a higher plane. I call this Computing Convergence. While evolutionary biology takes care of adjusting the human nature to this shift, businesses need help understanding the big picture emerging from these seemingly diverse fields. I spend my time researching these focus areas trying to understand the big picture. The expertise gained through the research will be shared with everyone in an open manner

Research & Analysis

The understanding gained by my research in fields in the fields such as open source, cloud computing and their interface to other fields involved in the Computing Convergence is translated into blog posts, research briefs, reports and research papers. Most of my publications are available free of cost but some of the more focused research reports and insights may be offered with low cost options. Almost all of my content, except those explicitly mentioned due to vendor requirements, will be available in one of the Creative Commons licenses.

Advisory & Consulting

I advise companies in the field of cloud computing and open source with their product and go to market strategies. I also sit on the board of some companies from around the world. Particularly, I like helping smaller companies and startups on their strategy. On the buyer side, I help organizations of all sizes helping them their strategies as they plan to move to a cloud based world. I particularly focus on helping organizations save money with Open Source and Cloud Computing. My research reports and briefs are targeted towards the buyer side.
