Open Source means that the source code is available and published, modifications can be made, usage of the software can be free.... the name means the source code is &quot;open&quot; that is why the name is Open Source &quot;code&quot;.    If a company publishes it&#039;s source code, allows free usage for people around the world that cannot afford proprietary software...... have spent 5+ years in development to distribute for free..... and simply want to have their logo displayed...
